"apa partition error" on hardisk

Did anyone ever come across this problem and know how to fix?

Previously, I can install ps2 game via pc (hdl_dump) or ps2 (hdloader). One day after I failed to install a game via pc due to a dvd disk error, I started getting "apa partition error" when I tried to connection the ps2 harddisk from my pc. It's still working fine on the ps2 side, i.e. I can still install and play new games with hdloader without any problem. Does anyone know any tools that can fix the apa partition problem?
