PS2 V4 can use DVD-R???

Hello
I have a PS2 30001 v4,can i use the DVD-R,Because i burn over 5 brand DVD-R and DVD+R, It can not work??
the silver disc DVD movie is ok, the PS2 CD game is fine ,what problem,
is the DVD-R or DVD+R problem , the disc write side is blue color, is choose the yellow silver color will ok??

Some V4 PS2 are picky about +R media. They do better with -R. What brands have you tried? What mod are you using to play your game backups? What program are you using to burn?

I use Nero, by 2x LG DVD writer,4 brand DVD disc, all is blue color of bottom, but all can not work,i use M-Chip 2 modchip

Every backup I have made has had blue-ish, purple backing and I have never had a problem. You could be using a poor quality DVD brand or it could be a mod chip or laser problem. I am not too familiar with mod chips. I use a flip top.
