Hello,

Its been a couple years since I have fitted an xbox modchip. Im trying to put my old Homebrew chip in a version 1.1 xbox and Ive got all 32 wires installed. When I turn the xbox on it flashes red/green with the modchip out of the socket. I double checked all my wires and they are good.

Now if I remove the link wire that goes to pin 32 it boots up originals just fine of course the modchip is still not in the socket. So I guess my question is: Do I need the link wire and if so what do you think is causing it not to boot with it soldered in? Thanks for any help you guys might be able to give me.
