I'm using toast to encode and write some divx episodes to dvd. However, toast doesn't recognize some of the avi files. I thought it was just because toast used quicktime as default to preview the videos, but after writing to dvd, those same episodes had only sound. I'm guessing it has to do with how the mpeg video is encoded in those avi files? Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a solution? When encoding, Quicktime says it can't read the video and that the plugin isn't available. Should I try using ffmpeg to encode the rogue divx files?
