Region Mismatch Error message

It is quite possible that this question was discusssed before; however, i was unable to find the line.

I just installed a New LG GSA-4040B 4X DVD ± R RW Combo Burner Writer.
I have Win 98 and a Samsing 3 in 1 combo monitor.

Anyway, when i use DVD shrink it gave me an error message stating that "Region Mismatch. The media is region 1 and the unit is region 2"

Now a new error message is "DVD shink encountered an error and cannot continue..Failed to read file d:\
overlapped I/O operation in progress"

Any ideas on how to resolve this?????
This Media was Fast and the furious. 8gb file.

Decryptor gave me the same mismatch message but stated it will use a rugged tool to decode the dvd.

In shrink, after you click "Backup", click the "Region" tab and tick "Region Free". All discs should be done this way.
As to the overlap problem, there could be several reasons but I would guess that if you are running windows 98, then your processor of HD cannot keep up. Have you shut down other programs so that shrink can have the system to itself?
