When i backup my xbox games does it matter if i use DVD+R or DVD-R?

It shouldn't, but some xbox drives are more picky than others. Use one that works and stay with it.

It basically depends on what drive you have. Thompsons are more than likely to read +R than -R. Phillips, well, what can I say, you have to experiment with those :P. Samsungs, however, tend to like -R more than +R.

Use that comparison chart and see which drive you have. Good luck!
