hi i've got some homebrew games they work fine when i burn them on cd-r but when i try to burn on a DVD-RW they won't boot is there some modification that i need to do on the system.cnf or something else so that they can boot from a dvd media?
any help will be greatly apreciated thanx !

u need to remove the cd checks with dvdscan from sonix

yes my ps2 can read DVD-RW i used them all the time it's much convenient , by the way i used dvdscan but still can't boot the game please help i need to know what modification should i do to make it run on dvd media

Never tried booting just one cd-game on a dvd, but have tried (unsucsessfully) to make a dvd with more than one cd game... (Msystem maker) Will try again later when time permits...

hi new member, What cd checks need to be removed. I have copied cd game as iso to hard drive then used dvd decript to burn to dvd-R. Used SM dvd, inserted disc Nothing happens Please help

Dvd scan searches the image for media checks. And patches if needed. If You ripp a game from dvd to cd, you'll have to patch the media checks to look for a cd medium instead of a dvd...
vice versa for cd to dvd...

hope you all understand this, I'm not very good at explaining things in english.. :-(

Does DVDScan work at all, if I Download a DVD Game Backup.
Meaning I Download the DVD Backup to Burn on a DVD not a CD.

If you have a dvd backup .iso, and want to burn it to a dvdr, then you don't have to do this. Just burn it with 'Dvd Decrypter' at 1x or 2x.
