Alcohol & Nero asking for CD rather than a DVD when backing up 4GB game

When I try to burn this .cue file in Alcohol (with Image Burning Wizard) it just waits for me to insert a blank CD/DVD disc into the burner, even though there is already a blank Imation DVD+R disc in there. And it knows that there is a empty DVD in there as it says so in the 'Waiting For Disc' window that is open.

I get a similar problem when I try to burn the file in Nero. The disc is ejected and I get a message telling me that my compilation can't be written on this type of disc and to insert a suitable medium. I can burn the .cue file onto a cd but that is pointless. Can anyone help me out with some advice as I have yet to burn a PS2 game that works.
