guys i am in a big problem!! yesterday it was my power supply, after a few tries it automatically went off when turning the machine on. So i decided to mod the ps2 with a MXL2, cus i thought it was the power supply. i replaced it with another supply and connected the power kabel. then it started doing the same thing, only the red light shows up and quikly goes blank. turning off and on and quikly pressing the eject button makes the blue and green light goes on for only a half second. Then i was checking all the fuses etc. and found nothing on mobo, then i started wondering if there is something on the bottom side of the mobo. so i checked the bottom and there was a HOLE in a chip. I completely dont understand, dvd-drive gained no power, only the fan was working unwanted. i can send a picture of it to someone just PM me your email adres.
this is labeled on the chip "L9A0340"
