magic switch only works for ps2 slim... the older version of swap trick is w/ the older ps 2 called magic swap disc... magic switch works by fooling your ps2 that its still closed when open the tray

there is a new swap magic version 3.3 designed for the slim-size ps2 used with the flip top cover. i'm wondering if is it safe for the slim-size laser lens? since i heard that the laser len burn out for internal modchip, but don't know about the swap magic.

swap 3.3 shouldnt burn out the laser. Its really simple to install and really easy to use. magic switch 3.3 for ps2 slim is safe and wont burn out ur lens. ur not touching or doing anything to the lens. i recently purchased it for a budyy and works great. ur just tricking ur ps2 to boot the ps2 backup and when u open to put in the backup it wont reset cause u installed the magic switch to disable sensors. u should buy it if u havent already

can you use gameshark or codebreaker if you're using swap magic 3.3 for the slim size? If yes, tell me how you do it, thanks.

Yes you can use GameShark with the slimline. If you have original copy of gameshark you would then boot with that first (make sure the lid is open), choose the codes for the game that you want to play, press start and press X, watch for the disc to spin slowly before it starts spinning fast again. Once you see it slow down, you will need to take the GameShark disk and swap it real quick with the SM3 disk (this will take practice). You can then load your backup with the cheat codes enabled.

have not tried it myself but if your CD SM works without Gameshark then you should not have any problems.
