Can anyone give me ideas on how to copy dvd to dvd. I can't seem to get passed the copyright protection. And i don't have a burner on my computer. Is there a device or something i have to buy extra to be able to do this? Please help. Thanks

first you need a dvd burner

then follow one of the many guides we have here. the easiest one to use would probably be this one

you need DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink (both free) and a burning software such as nero

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

So what you are saying is that i need to buy a dvd burner for my computer... in addition to the dvd recorder i just bought?

you can't copy DVDs with stand alone DVD recorders, due to copy protection and other issues. If copying DVDs is what you want to use it for, then yes, return it and get a DVD burner for you computer.
