I've been trying to use DVD43 to copy a DVD movie that I bought but it won't work. I installed DVD43 and the yellow smilely appears in my task bar. When I put a DVD movie it the smilely turns to a devil face for a few seconds then to a green smilely like it is supposed to do. Then I click on my 1 Click DVD Copy icon then press start and it says it cannot copy this CSS protected DVD. DVD43 is supposed to work with 1 Click DVD Copy to enable me to copy a CSS protected DVD. What am I doing wrong that these two pieces of software are not working? What is the procedure to install DVD43 to make it work with 1 Click DVD Copy? Apparently I have done something wrong that it is not working. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Have you tried using DVD Shrink instead of 1 Click DVD? It is MUCH better than 1 Click and you should also try to use DVD Decrypter instead of DVD43:)

I would like to try and get these two pieces of software working first before I try anything else. Surely someone else has ran into this same problem. I also bought a copy of I Copy DVD's 2 and it does the same thing. When I first started using I Copy DVD's 2 I had the same problem. I called the company and they said to use DVD43 to make it work copying protected movies. After some time and lots of frustation I got it to work. Although now I didn't realize that the copy of DVD43 that I downloaded was a trial version and the trial has expired so I'm back to square 1 again. I downloaded DVD43 and tried to use it with I Copy DVD's 2 and the same problem with it. Now the version of DVD43 that I'm using now is the latest version which I think is 3.5.2 I still can't make a copy of the movie that I bought. I'm a firm believer in not making copies of things that I don't own but when I buy a piece of software or movie I should be allowed to make a backup copy of my own purchases. My grandson knocked 3 of my movies off the table the other day and then as he was running away stepped on them and cracked all 3 of them. Of course, they no longer play. Had my copy software been working I would have had a backup of them. Now I'm out about $75 for the price of the movies. I hope someone out there can help with my problem.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Do you know that there is a FREE version of DVD43? It's called DVD43Free. Try using it and remove DVD43:) Also, what version of Windows are you running? Just go to www.dvd43.com and scroll to the bottom and they have 3 different sites that you can download from; the latest version is 3.5.2

And I completely understand your situation in preserving your DVD's:) I'm a collector now approaching the 920 mark on DVD's with a great number of them rare/out of print and I like to make WORKING backups of my collection so until Sony, etc... gets off the money train we all will have to deal with the devil:(

One more thing, if all else fails, please try DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink, you will have much, MUCH better results, DVD43 has given quite a number of people problems:(

The DVD43 version is 3.5.2 and it is the free version that I'm using. I'm running XP Pro on a 2Ghz machine with 512 Meg ram. Using DVD43 with either I Copy DVD's 2 or 1 Click DVD Copy is so easy to do, whereas using DVD Decrypter seems like it would take more time and attention to copy a movie. With these other two programs all you have to do is put a movie in DVD reader the blank in a DVD recorder and hit copy and away it goes. No other input is needed to do a copy, that is if you can get it to work. But as it is, I can't get it to work. So I hope there is someone out there you can find out what I'm doing wrong. I know it works because I did copy one movie with it until I got this message that my trial version had expired. I know this can be done so i hope someone can tell me what I did wrong.
Thanks again for your time and consideration.
