Hello.

As there are so many foreign dubs of English speaking movies, is it possible to take one of these of good quality, strip it of its audio and then take the good audio from a quick and easy English language version and combine the two?

If so, how and with what?

Try Video Edit Magic. Read about its features here:

That looks good and I am in the process of downloading the trial now.

My idea had been to download a clear foreign dubbed version and any average native English version, take the audio from the latter and lay it over the former, but that seems to take ages.

I realise there are sites that hold subtitle files but are there any which hold movie audio or links to audio?

Don't really know. But removing and adding audio to a movie wouldn't really take that long (if things match).

Ok then. Better to take longer to make a good overall end product than to accept less than par.

I haven't yet explored the application, though I have downloaded it. What are the help files like? Is there a guide that explains how to do what I'm hoping to?

It comes with a very comprehensive guide. But clicking 'tutorial' at Help would give you an animated demonstration. Cool, don't you think? *_*

Indeed.

Forgot to finish downloading, so I'll have to get to it!
