Switch for my Matrix Chip

I've been happily playing with a modded XBox for a few years now and have decided I want to play Live. A good friend of mine (who is now 800 miles away) did all the grunt work on modding my box. I have read on xbox-scene.com on how to install a chip switch for my Matrix. If I do this and lock my HD (with ConfigMagic?), will I be able to simply switch off the chip and proceed with Live or are there other steps I need to take. Thanks in advance for your input.

You don't even need a switch. The Matrix has a setting (2 or 3, I forget) that allows it to turn off. Boot up and if you see the LED lit up green, reboot and it'll be red. Then you're OK for Live.
