Multimeter how does this work....

I have borrowed a multimeter to change my Laser...
but when i klick it to 20k wich measuring will it have,
i found out that 0.57 was my gamecube with measuring and i have changed it to 0.21 did i do it right...

Please help me..

Click it to 2k and you'll see samekind of values than everyone else have.

mine was 187 out of the box.. why is everyone getting these high 300 + values?

Everyone? i had 194ohms, and i have seen most have 150-260

Because not all GC's are the same. There are like half a dozen drive variatons, all using different semiconductor optics that need to be calibrated differently then others.

Generaly, newer cubes seem to have lower values.

Yeah, those were the earlier ones. I've got a DOL-001 also, original reading was 540ohms.
