Got a old HP writer, nothing wrong with it, only that it burns at x10, so went out bought a new writer x48(Matsumi) .
Well with my HP i could print , burn , and even browse all at the same time, which was quite good, as could do covers while waiting for the discs to burn etc.
Well the problem is with the new writer i start to print covers etc, yet when i press burn it stops everything else from working, (only burning at x16), so basically it is taking longer to do a cd than my old one.
Asked at the shop where i got it from what the problem could be and they told me to check printer settings etc, make sure they were set to RAW , tried that still no joy.
Dont have any other progs running in the background, so cant understand why it wont let me do any other things while it is burnin the cd, could anyone help me on this please.
One last thing, i even took off the buffer under run protection to see if this solved it and no joy there either.
Also tried a Lite On and had the same problem as well.

My system i am using is
Win 98 SE
Amd Athlon 1600 Xp
508 mb RAm
