Hi,recently i cant seem to play dvd's on my intervideo software, problem states "create overlay failed,try lowering screen resolution and color depth and try again"

I have also noticed that recently my IE pages don't scroll as smoothly as before. I have tried lowering the resolution and color depth but problem remains. I am currently on 1024x768 and medium 16 bit color. Please help. thnx
