Well i finally got dvd2svcd to rip the cd but it made two image files that are to large to put onto a regular cd rw :(

how do i make them smaller so they fit on the disk without having to buy the high dollor blank dvd disks?

Tab that says "bitrate" has dropdown menus for each CD, select 740MB. And 740MB is the correct one, you might get scared because you thought you can only fit 650MB to regular 74min blanks and you're kinda right, in data CD format this is true. But VCD is different, just like audio CD it can contain 74min / 740MB of video/audio data (this is achieved because VCD/CDDA don't have complex filesystem and don't have error checking bits).
