I have dvd2xbox and it does not work when i try to save ridick to my HDD. is it possible to ftp the files from the disc to my PC and then from the PC to the HDD in my games folder? what file would i need to transfer, would i need to transfer over the ISO file i would create to put the game onto a DVD or just the folders that i FTP to the PC? any ideas would be appreciated.

try using boxplorer. It allows you to create folder and copy files striaght to your xbox harddisk from xbox DVD Rom. Just place the game into your xbox and run boxplorer, with boxplorer you can select the appropriate drive (usually f:) and create a sub folder under games, then you would mark all files on the dvd and copy the files to the new created folder.

don't need a pc unless you want to create the iso and burn it to a dvd for backup.
