can i burn dvd stuff into cd's?

hey guys!

well i got a ps2 that could only play burned cd's but not dvd's

and i got a backup gt3 that was on a cd...so i was wondering could i like shrink dvd contents into a cd?

i wouldn't reccomend it, most games are just way to big to cut out all that information. I would find out why it won't play DVD's first.
Are you using Swap Magic with the DVD's?
you will need it and a slide card or flip top to play backup DVD's.
Also if you use cheapo DVD's to burn games on they will not work right, it will just give you the
"Insert valid PS2 Disc" message.

steimy is right, many of the newer ps2 games are easily over 3 gigs now and there is just to many files to cut out to make it fit onto a cd. If you wanna learn the basics, check this out...

i have did it on some DVDs.
i remove the DVD dummy.dat(over a Gig)
and put in CD dummy.dat(190MB)
and it worked
