I know I've seen this subject before but wasn't able to find it. I own an original where you have to physically flip the disc over half way through the movie. Can this be backed up on a single DVD-R?

Yes, they can. These are known as flippers(DVD10, DVD18). What program/s do you use to back up movies?

I usually use DVD Shrink and Nero. I have used DVD Decryptor a few times in the past.
