i bought a poly tron 360-10 stabilizer, i was reading somewhere that you have to place it between the vcr and the dvd player is that correct.

What type of plugs does it have for in and out?

The stabilizer you bought is a variation of a stabilizer that has been around along time. Essentially, all it does is remove Macrovision copy protection (that irritating dark then light change) that was originally developed to prevent copying of protected VHS tapes.
Yes, you have to place the stabilizer between your DVD player and your VHS player. If you do not, the VHS player will think you are trying to copy protected material and will cause the video to do the dark/light dance.

thanks for the info, but can you tell me how to connect it to my dvd recorder and my vcr, because it didn't come with any instructions and i thought i tried everything for it to work, but i didn't put the stabilizer in between the 2 only the side of the vcr.

Think of it as a converter.
Converting VHS to DVD.
This is all working on the assumption you DO have a DVD PVR Recording device, and not just a dvd player.
Take the outputs from the VCR, usually red and white for audio, yellow for video.
Plug them into the stabilizer.
Take the outputs from the stabilizer, and plug them into the inputs on the recorder.

your 2 audio cables(left side/right side) usally red
and white....hook audio cables...audio out from VCR
to audio in on DVD Recorder
then.............
you should have a (video in and video out) on both vcr
and dvd recorder...........
then you should have a (in and out) on the back of your video stablizer.......
what you are actually doing is putting the video stablizer in between the yellow cord.....
so put one yellow cord in the video out of VCR, plug the other end of that cord to the (video in) plug on the video stablizer........
now put another yellow cord to the (video out) on the
video stablizer, then put the left over yellow end
to (in video) on the back of the DVD Recorder......
ok that should do it.............
have done this the quality of a dvd will not be there
it's a lot of trouble..................good luck

fellas i've tryed everything thing and nothing worked. i placed the stabilizer between the vcr and the dvd recorder. i hook the in and out together, the vcr out to the dvd in, yellow in from stabilizer to vcr out, and yellow stabilizer out to dvd in. now when you mean between each other do you mean place the stabilizer on top of the dvd and vcr on top of stabilizer. helpp again.

Vhs signal OUT to Input IN of stabilizer. Stabilizer signal OUT to input IN of dvd recorder.
VHS -->Stabilizer -->Dvd.
Output -->Input -->Output -->Input.
