What css cracking method to use in dvd decrypter??

I was told that it might help to use brute force on a badly scratched dvd. But what option do I choose then the one that says Brute force or one of the ones that says brute force -> i/o exchange whats the difference between them all.

I have mine set to the default setting of:

I\O Key Exchange -> Brute Force

Works like a charm for me.

I've done 100+ on the I/O key exchange-> Brute Force. If it's having problems you could try going to Tools-Settings-I/O-and in the lower right corner tick "ignore read erros".

I've also read using toothpaste to polish the disc will work. Just remember to go from the center out in a straight line, not around the disc's circumference.

Skip doctor's seem to be the tool of choice around here, if it's a common occurence might think of picking one up. Some used game dealer's/library's have a machine and will clean it for a small/no charge.

the question was not how to bypass or fix scratches it was what css removal method is best. with the default settings and the newest version should do fine.
