i was wondering if i put a modchip into a slim ps2 i heard that the slim ps2 would heat up very fast cause it has no fan is that ture?

HELL NO.

the PStwo does have a small fan and if u want to get a mod chip, get one with the laser fix. i dont know where to get it.

get a flip top i think those are better b/c if you soder and fuck something up you ps2 if worthlees then. try www.ps2nfo.com they have a bunch of fixes and such

the magic kx+ and the laser fix , you are set.

without doing the fix you are in danger though.
I do the fix for everyone thats come to me, so its important where ever you get it done that the proper fixes are applied.

If you ask me you are in more risk with a fliptop, cuz now youve voided your warranty, and there is no protection on the laser, so should it crash, youre screwed. Also yes unmodded slim ps2s crash.

if you know how to solder, and i mean REALLY know how to solder than get a chip. If not get a flip top and swap magic discs.
Or be lazy like me and get a premodded system with a DMS4 Pro chip at http://www.xmodd.com for $315 shipped.

my slim pstwo is modded and it works perfect. I sent it to some guys in canada they did a very good job. i've had it modded for a month now with a chip and a laser fix and play it for hours on end without no problem. I really don't know how other people's pstwo's burn out supposedly because all my friends have one and we play play for a long time and nothing goes wrong.
