I just bought a verbatim burner from office max and did my first dvd backup using the Verbatim DVD+RW. Everything played fine on my dvd player and pc. I bought some Memorex DVD+RW and they will not work. Wanted to know about some different brands of DVD+R, DVD+RW that would be compatable with my burner and would play find in DVD player. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

I've used Memorex +R/+RW without any problems yet. The ones I have seem to be high quality. I've also used Fuji +R discs and they have worked well for me. I did burn one coaster but the others are high quality. They play fine in my Philips and Daewoo players.

I have had an HP dvd100i and now have a Sony 500a. The Memorex media is the worst I have ever used. My favorite is Sony, works 100%. Imation, Philips and Verbatim are next. But with Memorex, only 20% of discs would work. Hope this helps

Memorex disks re like a plot to ruin you. I've used them once, and after I used them my dvd player stopped working. It made grinding noises at me. I had to buy a new one. Not only do you have to worry about coasters, you have to worry about dammaged hardware. If only I could find a man responsible for memorex disks. I would vomit on him forever.

From what I am hearing Sony, Verbatim, imation DVD+R or DVD+RW are the way to go? Thanks for the info. I'll give these a try. If anyone knows a good place to get these in bulk would you post a few places.
