I bought a spindle of Maxell 4x DVD-R.
The media ID is RITEKG04.

Are these DVD-Rs good?

The funny thing is: the package was sealed and said "Made in Japan".
I thought Ritek discs were made in Taiwan...


I've used Maxell before, but they were TY or MXLRG02.

Those ritek g04 maxells should be pretty good. I got a batch of them last month at Office Depot,they had a white "made in taiwan" sticker covering the made in japan on the shrink wrapper.They were on the 25 pack spindles. They seem to run sales on maxell's every other week or so.
I have used all 3 mfg codes from these maxell -4x yellowtops,and all 3 performed great on my benq's and on all my stand alone players.
