Motorola E1000 problem

Hi, I am new to this thread, and this is my first post. I recently got an E1000 Motorola from a friend (unlocked) and it works fine with my T-mobile network. I also got Mobile Phone Tools CD with software, which I downloaded, and even updated via LiveUpdate.
Now, I can see the skin of E1000 on opening the program on my PC, but the software cannot detect the phone itself.

Any suggestions, pleae????? Thanks in advance.
