DVD burns only 1/4 the time!!!

I need some help...

I have DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink on my computer... For a long time this worked great. I have a Sony DRX-710UL. I use Memorex printable DVDs.

Really nice because I have the Epson that will print on disks.

Anyway, the back-up of movies worked GREAT for a while... then it started to work only 1/2 the time, then 1/3 the time, now it's even maybe only 1/5 the time.

So far, I'm 0-for-5 the last 5.

Copies to my drive just great. No problem, I can watch it on the computer, perfect.

But when I burn it to the DVD using the Sony, it burns... goes through the process with DVD Shrink, but once it's done, it WILL NOT work on my DVD player in my living room.

Won't even load, sometimes it will say "DVD Video, but get that error that says "DISK DOES NOT WORK".

So, what is the problem?

I go from DVD Decrypter then to the DVD Shrink.

Decrypter and Shrink versions
Firmware version for burner
Burn speed(s) used
Standalone DVD player model

Deycrpter is the latest version... in fact, just updated it today hoping it would solve my problems.

Shrik is 3.2.

Not sure of the DVD firmare version... but it says 5.1.2535.0?

Sound right?

Burn speed(s) used is MAX on the Shrink.

Standalone is a Samsung DVD-V2500


BTW: I've read how some people use Shrink then burn it with Decrypter. I do it the other way... Am I doing something wrong?

just a thought maybe untick enable burning with Nero in shrink and use Nero burning rom instead. here's a link for a guide

Fatboy, I followed your steps and got a new movie to burn. THANKS!

Question: With this process I can no longer have a menu to follow?

Q2: I currently have 3-4 movies on my hard drive that wouldn't burn to a DVD using the old way I did it, but I can play them on my computer. Can I still burn those to a DVD? What steps would I take considering the FULL disk is on my HD?
