Hello,

My question is about playing all sort of media on your PS2: for example DivX. How do i play divx movies on my PS2? I read something about Gameshark Media Player. But do you need HDD on your PS2 for this?

(I have Flip Top + SMD V3.3)

Gameshark media player works great. You do not need a harddrive/mod. You do need a network adapter. It streams the data from your computer. As long as you can open up your computer ports to sharing (you may have to turn off your firewall) it works great and plays a variety of divx and mpeg formats.

besides using gameshark media.. is there anyway i can boot up my dvd movies that are backed up on DVD+R??

Put the DVD in your ps2 drive and press the eject button.

it should play DVD+Rs fine if you burn them using DVD decrypter or something like it
