matrix infinity install help

hi me and my mate installed a matrix infinity chip into a v3 ps2.
afterwards when turing on for the 1st time nothing happened, the PS2 powered up but nothing on the screen.
after some time thinking about we decided to open up my mates PS2 which is the same version and same chip but was done by an installer.
We noticed that R & GND where soldered to different positions from what where shown on the matrix infinity insrtuctions (from the matrix website).
we decided to try it the other way which the installer had done.
Still didn't work.
so we took the chip out and tried booting without a chip.
And still nothing, looks like we messed up the board, so we have orderd a replacement board.
but can anyone tell me where i can get different instructions then what they show on the matrix website.

you proably sent some stATIC into your board. next time you solder, touch a piece of metal before to rid yourself of the static.

that was one of the options that we thought might have happened.
We already have those instructions.
We have all the version from the infinty website.
Just wondering if there are any slighty different ones cos the installer put point R & GND in differnt places from the infinty website instructions.

only follow he infnity site. i tried the other instructions and my PS2 almost got fried.
