I tried to burn ESPN MLB 2005 and it worked but the back up lags like crazy. The game seems to be really slow. Could anyone help me? I used DVD Decrypter. Thanks.

If you have a newer ps2, ver 7 or higher, I would suggest using +r if your not already and burning the ISO you made with DVD Decrypter with either Alcohol 120 or Nero.

I use DVD Decrypter for all my back ups and it works great. Also i always use Phillips DVD-R 8X discs which also work great in my V7 PS2 and my new slim PSTwo.
What type of media are you using and at what speed are you burning.
Usually cheap media is what causes those types of lag times in a game.

Yeah the only time I have had problems like that is if I burned too fast or used crap media.

Thanks for the info.
I use DVD Decrypter to rip and burn and my media is Ritek. I burned that game twice ; once at max speed and then at 4x...the results were still the same. How can you figure out if your ps2 is version 7 or something else?

bighead, you are burning way to fast man. You shouldn't really burn faster than 2x to get the most reliable results. DVD Decrypter should let you burn at whatever speed you want, but if it won't it's because of your media. Usually the faster the media, the highest slowest burning speed. I know that is confusing, but let's say you have a 12x or 16x max burn disc, it will probably only let you burn at 16x or 12x max, then 8x and then 4x. With a 4x max disc, you should be able to burn at 4x max, 2.4x, 2x and 1x. Don't ask me where they get that 2.4x. Now this is true for almost all burning media, CD-R's, DVD-R's, and DVD+R's, the slower you burn the mor stable the media is burned to your disc, the more stable your media is, the easier it is for your laser device (in this case, the picky PS2 laser) to read them, in turn causing less hickups, pauses and skips. Also to when you burn a disc, you really shouldn't be doing anything else on your PC. Your PC has to transfer all this information very quickly to another device and is reading it from the hard drive, the more stuff you do, the more your working your hard drive. This causes it to pay attention to other thing rather than burning, causing the data being sent to your burner slower. Granted you may have burn proof software, but what burn proof does is basically stops, or minimizes burning until it's buffer is full of information again (which it pulls from the hard drive). Those pauses in burning may come at a bad time in the disc, causing your disc to not load properly (even though the game loads fine, a certain stage for example in the middle of the game may not load).
