The new slim one? Good luck. You will have to use your USB when some software to support it comes out. The old, fat ones are the way to go ... way easier to mod.

you would need an external hard drive or a case to put an internal hdd in to allow it to act as an external, then plug it into the USB port. once some kind of software comes out to support that on the new ps2's, you'll be all set. but until then, it looks like no hdd for you.

It doesn't, yet. All of the support is for the older PS2s. They tend to be better, since more mods have been done on them, you can use a standard IDE HD in the back of it and rip games. And you can do all of it NOW if you own the old PS2s. The new ones are ... well ... more expensive all around. In order to do the same thing you are doing on your slim, you have to buy:

The hard drive
HD Enclosure
Software

And it's still no gurantee that they will release the USB version. They probably will ... it blows down to money. But for right now, a mod chip is all you can have righ tnow ...
