I was wondering if i could use lens paper to wipe off the dust on my dvd media. Is this a good idea?

Silk lint-free cloths work great along with eyeglass cleaner.

I've used those paper/wet type cleaners on my safety glasses and they scratched the heck out of the plastic lens. I'd hate to see what they do to a regular dvd-seeing as how they are a lot softer plastic.

I bought these Maxell lint cloths for CDs, and I notice that it leaves light scratches if you hold the disc under the light. Now, I just use a cotton t-shirt (sometimes the one I'm wearing). Or I'll moisten a paper towel and wipe the disc gently.
