Ripping Nightmare Before X-mas

So, I want to make a copy of Nightmare before X-mas because this is now my 3rd copy (first 2 were scratched and destroyed by my kids). However, I can not rip it in DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15. I am now trying to use DVD Encrypter V. 3.5.4.0 and no luck. Here is computer info I am using:
Dell PWS370
Win XP ser. pk1
3GHz P4 w/ 1GB ram

Here is the error message I am getting from DVD Encrypter:
I/O error!
Device: [0:1:0]_NEC DVD+RW ND-2100AD 103D(E:)(ATA)
ScsiStatus: 0x02
Interception: Check Condition

Interception: Read(10) - Sector: 29776

Interpertation: No Seek Complete
[abort][retry][ignore]

I have tried RETRY and get the exact same error. If I click IGNORE, it continues on but a NEW error message will appear. All the same info except the sector # change each time.

When I try it in DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15, I get the message: DVD Shrink encountered an error and can not continue, Failed to read file"E:\", Data Error (cycle redundancy check) [OK] and it comes to an end.

I have also tried MAC the Ripper and DVD Backup and no luck (yes I do have access to a MAC as well).

Any help, suggestions, and ideas are welcome. I do however have a preferance for free software as I have kids and we all know that they like to spend our money more than we do.

I am using DVD+r Maxell 4.7GB disks and the burner is an NEC DVD+RW ND-2100AD

You either have a bad disk ( scratches ) or a bad press. Take it back to where you bought it and exchange it
