when i try to back up some dvds, i can run shrink, it goes well, then when it is almost done, it will read an error. my question is this....do i need to use dvdcrypter first for ALL dvds?? or is it not always like that....or what is the way i can tell before i burn a coaster that i need to use Decrypter??

thanks

Hey rxdude94,

Yeah, I would use Decrypter ---> Shrink ---> Nero.

That is the easiest way in order to do it. Plus you will be able to make sure it copies right.

BTW, you should also get AnyDVD and keep it running while using Decrypter. Definately worth the effort and money.

Have fun.

If you're running AnyDVD, Shrink and Nero to burn, whouldn't DVDD be redundant?

when it is almost done, it will read an error

Where at in the process is this error for DVD Shrink?---< initial analzing/analyzing with enhancements/encoding/or burning.

Also post your pc specs, your process of trying to make a backup, what you are backing up, and any other info that may help out.

Like bilbo65 posted,DVD Shrink and Nero do about 90% of my backups without AnyDVD running. With AnyDVD running, should be more like 98%,so DVD Decrypter is handy to have around.

Runs in the background and removes all current copy protections. You then can shrink and burn with your favorite programs.

EXACTLY!!!

Don't see a problem with running both...no harm, no foul.

Hope it's been working for you.
