Hi,

I have a fairly old dvd player, that only plays certain dvd-r media, namely ritek 4x yellow (brunt as dvd files). I am fast runing out of my Ritek 4x yellow and as the prices of these get higher and availablity is getting harder, would the same ritek brand but at 8x speed still work on my dvd player?

I know u cant confirm, expect without trying, but what are the chances of it working?, my dvd writer writes at 4x speed max, i i dont really want to buy a pack of 25 and find they dont play on my dvd player.

If it plays -r's then it will play -r's. The X speed relates to burning, not reading. I don't think you will have a problem.
