what would cause my 2 week old modded ps2 slim to burn the laser lense completely out.are there any parts available yet ...iam going to need a new laser lense for the slim ps2 and where can I get them

funny thing was I had a 300001 model and got rid of it because they said it was to risky to chip since it was one of the first models out...go figure;))))

most likely they used something like the diode fix, which does absolutely nothing. What chip do you have installed?

i got no idea what chip....are there spare lasers for the slim ps2 available yet..if so...how much..everything else is fine on the unit like the board and chip...just the laser is melted

BTW; get whatever chip it is they put in taken out and get a MKX or USBE.. for all you know they soldered a broken peice of a cell phone PCB to your board..

Its the cause of this problem in the first place.. and itll probley happen again.
