Just got some Datawrite 8x Optima Blue today and I'm wondering how people r getting on with them.

I have burned 8 of them with the following results:

4 discs burnt at 4x resulted in perfect burns according to nero dvd-speed, no drop outs at all.

4 burnt at 8x resulted in 4 discs with 'circ unrecovered errors' at around 2.2gb-2.8gb into the disc.

I notice there is a faint change in the dye about halfway through the disc which would seem to correspond with and error roughtly halfway through reading the disc.

I'm burning with Nero 6.6.0.6 on a NEC ND-2510A with latest V2.18 firmware. Image created first and then burnt from the hard drive with nero express. I have used this combination to burn many dvds mainly datawrite grey 8x so the setup is fine.

I'm not using the latest version of Nero as there is a bug in it which is specific to my writer which ahead are investigating.

Anyone else used these discs yet? Did they work? Any comments / help appreciated.
