i've followed the guide for vcd's and everything has turned out perfectly, but when i burned it i forgot to "finalize". i was hoping that i would be able to go back and close the vcd. is it possible do this or will i have to repeat the entire process over again?

Is not 'finalizing' an integral part of your cd-burning software when creating vcds? I'm not too familiar with Nero (I use something else), but how did you manage to 'burn' a vcd without your burn software automatically finalizing it?

VCD-burning is supposed to be an all-in-one inclusive process. (So I thought).

If you have retained your original mpeg-1 file, just burn it again; it really doesn't take all that long. (Use 2x burning speed for maximum reliability among players). If all you have left is the AVSEQ01.DAT file on your(ahem) 'unfinalized' vcd, you can use a free program called 'VCDGear' to convert the .dat file back into an mpeg1 which you should then be able to re-burn.
