CD-Tray won't go back in-place

Well, my laser was dirty, discs wouldn't read. So, I followed instructions and cleaned it out. Now, when I try to slide my Ps2 CD Tray in, it never seems to go in properly. If I can get it in completely, it only comes out half-way. I am running off a Matrix Infinity Mod-Chip, but that has nothing to do with the problem.

It's just a simple hard-to-get-in situation. Anyone know how to slide it in properly?

yes this happens. its just off the tracking a bit.


just open the top of the dvd drive cover.

and hit eject. after it comes out, remove the mainpower.
then unscrew the two screws on the left side. you should be able to pull the tray out.

now having the tray all the way out, now put the tray back in but hanging out of the unit and those two screws back in, and make sure the tray is aligned. then you should just have to push the tray in manually, and you will see the laser head/spinner come up. and lock.
