Hey guys I was just curious if you have heard about this. I was in Walmart contemplating on purchasing a copy of "Finding Neverland" and after looking over the package I noticed a small dvd icon with a red cross over the icon. The message then stated that it was some sort of anti coping software. Has any one heard if this could affect how DVD Shrink. If I cant make a back up there is no way I am going to buy the DVD. I have also noticed this Icon on other new DVD's. Thanks Guys

All comerical movies are copy protected. Most DVD containers/packaging will indicate that they are copy protected. Most viewers never read the small print anyway.

I figured you used Nero, but almost every time, people say the copied the movie with a decrypter of some kind and DVD Shrink. Most neglect say what they burned with giving the impression to some "Newbie" that Shrink will burn to the DVD. :-)

Yeah, good point, bilbo. I've been seeing that a lot on here.
I too, burned this last week with DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter.
Have to add one note though: I was bored out of my mind and wish I hadn't. Movie was awful in my opinion.

i almost agree crozzman, i did neverland the other day, but didn't watch it until i could sit with my girls thinking it was the usual peter pan. But it wasn't, i enjoyed it enough, but kids got bored early on as it was written for bigger kids, and soppy adults. Ah well, Johnny Depp was top, as per usual.

Agreed. Depp was his usual outstanding self. Unfortunately, I don't think ANY actor could've saved this movie. Just my opinion. I will be honest, I only watched the first half hour, so perhaps it got better, I just couldn't bear it any longer.

Anyway, howeyf, I wouldn't worry about being able to burn your movies. As long as the studio companies continue to come up with new encryptions, people like Lightning UK will be around to crack 'em.

It's bogus anyway. If I buy the movie, then I should have every right to make as many copies of it that I want. Back in the days of VHS, it wasn't considered piracy, just so long as you weren't selling your copies.
