I'm borrowing my friends DVDs that are already compressed and burned. I used shrink to make my own copy. They play fine on regular dvd players but they are very skippy on my PS2. The dvds i burn from the original dvd will play, but not the copy of the backups. what's the problem?

making copies of backups is rarely recommended, you introduce arifacts with each copy so by the second or third copy the disc may be unplayable. Burn at as slow a speed as possible to miminise this

I make copies of copies all the time, they work great. if I were you I would look into the type of media you are using and 2 clean your ps2 lens.

I also just use nero's disc to disc to back them up, no point in using DVD Shrink if there's nothing to shrink, prolly takes more time to.
