because I have a modded PS2 and and I have an origanal version of MVP 2005 and it wont let me online. I no with an xbox it wont let u online if its modded but I wasn't sure about the ps2.

the only thing i can suggest is putting yuor modchip in sleep mode,see if that works

sleep mode what does that mean I got the chip professional installed I've never opened up my ps2 before myself

anyways it says disc information error has occured and its a DNS Error (-402)

any help would be greatly apprieated

some need the original like Everquest & socomII, u must have the original and the modchip on sleep mode,

others like monster hunter (back up and patched) can be played w/o original (need modchip to boot up)

how do u put the chip in sleep mode?

keep in mind I have never opened my ps2 up before myself

different modchips have different ways of doing it, mine is a magic v and have to press the power button (from stand by) till a sound comeup... ive seen a faq on turning to sleep mode in this forum.. look for it

thats right,i have messiah 2 installed, i have to hold reset for 7 secs i think
just do a google search for your modchip,and look for instructions

sleep mode,just means disabling it,turning it off,whatever you want to call it
dont worry about doing this,it will revert to normal boot method(load backups) as soon as you reboot

I think I have a magic something chip (im not sure i got a professional to install it) how do I turn that into sleep mode

i dont know what type you have

? For turn OFF/SLEEP, power up from STANDBY with RESET button held until the logo/sounds comes on; then release RESET and the MagicV will be OFF/SLEEP.

when I hold the standby button the starts up, but then once the logo comes up as im still holding the standby button the system goes back into standby am I doing something wrong?

it states u need to release the reset button at this point
