Can someone plaese tell me the ways to put your mod-chip in sleep mode?

Im not sure which chip I have so if you could decribe the different ways to put it in sleep mode it would be greatly apprieacted. I really want to play online MVP 2005.

some chips dont have sleep mode btw...

Hey,I got 2 ways for you
1.put on the ps2 and open the disc tray, insert the disc and hold the blue button in intil the Playstation2 appears, not the blue stars with the sound, but the black screen with the white text.

2.If the disc is already in and the top button shows red, hold the top button until the same screen appears.
