DVD with LPCM 1 CH audio has no/or distorted sound? Help!!!

I am trying to watch a dvd-rom on my pc with windows media player, WinDVD 5, and NERO showtime but with all the sound is either non-existent(WinDVD and NERO) or distorted (Windows Media). The disk plays fine in my PS2 and Stand Alone DVD player. I opened the disk with dvd shrink and it contains LPCM 1-CH audio file 934 mb in size and multiple AC3 files 0 MB in size. Is this a problem with the audio decoder of these players or is it something else--Please Help!!!! Thanks!
