Making a VCD with Nero Express

Alright i have a home film of my Brothers birthday party and its around 310 mb. Now i wanna make a vcd for it but when i but to the file list in nero, it makes it twice what it should be and the resulting amount of data to be put on the disk is 730mb. I need help! How do i make it so that I could it fit on a CD-R!

What format is your video in?
How long is the video clip?

Ya its a SVCD, to make but it comes out as 733 mb. So how do i make it fit on a cd-r

Click the MORE button.
Click the VIDEO OPTIONS button.
Click the Super Video CD tab.
In the Quality settings dropdown box, select CUSTOM.
In the bitrate box, decrease it until the movie fits all on one CD.

i dont see any quality tab or any super VCD option, theres a make a SVCD thing and im using that. Someone needs to help me. Also i think its over because of the menu, so how do you get rid of menu

I didn't say quality tab, I said SVCD tab, quality dropdown box, and bitrate box.

I don't know what version you have then, because both NVE2 and NVE3 have it.
Go to www.Nero.com and update (NOT upgrade) your software to the latest version you can.

Ver 6 is Nero burning Rom, not Nerovision Express.
