Having problems with SUBs in VirtualDub

Hei, I'm converting DivX to MPEG with subtitles.
using VirtualDub 1.5 and 1.6 with VobSub.
The thing is when I put the SUBs in vDUB it have a huge delay (not in sound!).
lips are moving but the SUBs ain't and this suck.
i've installe XviD many times and nothing changed.
what should i do?? please help!
