So your saying Splinter Cell Chaos Theory cannot be backed up like normal? Have you even tried to back it up yet? Im really looking forward to this game

i have tried as soon as you go to start single player mode it comes up with insert disc!
there is a patch on ps2nfo so someone needs to post a link for it!

Does Splinter Cell Chaos theory NTSC ps2 need a patch to load correctly with Swap Magic? What happens if it is not patched does it freeze or something whats the deal here with the patches??

I guess Chaos Theory needs a patch with Swap Magic. I just tried rebuilding it (isobuster, Cd/dvdgen) and I nad no luck. It loads until it gets to the multiplayer/ solo co-op screen. Then when selecting solo co-op, it turns black, then the red insert playstion 1 or playstaion 2 disc screen appears. I used both Swap magic 2.0 and Swap magic 3.0 and DVD Decrypter to burn it. By the way, I can't Dload the patch from ps2nfo, I registered last week and my ip is banned! I've never even logged-on?!?!? If anybody has the patch, could you post the link here? Thanks!!!!!

i wonder why you guys having this error... i managed to back up this game easily..i dont need a patch or using dvdloaders and stuffs.. i am using SM 3.3 and have v5 ps2 and burnt the game into a traxdata dvd-r
...i hold on lightly to my forgotten memories where i lost my words to..

I also just downloaded and burned using DVD Decrypter, i am using Swap Magic 3.3 with a fliptop on a Slimline PStwo. I did not need the patch to get this to work, unlike the PAL version I tried a week ago.

so is the patch only required for swap magic lower then version 3.3?
i havent tried burning my copy yet "Splinter_Cell_Chaos_Theory_USA_XBOXDVD-CDZ" but wants to know if i need a patch in order to play this game before i burn it, and iam using swap magic 3.3

I think the patch is needed for all versions of SM not 100% sure.
anyway two new patch's were released patching both multiplayer and single player modes in one patch for both PAL and NTSC systems.

Both these files are about 11mb in size i have personally not tested them but as always there online @ http://ps2source.net

thats what is said in the nfo of the dvd rick fix, has anyone tried it on swap magic 3.3 yet?

I have hd loader advance, a laptop computer, 160 gig hd, slide tool, dvd burner, blank dvd's, and DVD Decrypter, and an original copy of chaos theory ps2. Can I patch this game and load it on with hd loader advance? Any help will be great.

Do I need to apply the Disc ID with WinDIP as well as apply the patch with patch-o-matic? Is there an order of steps?
