Computer crashing while attempting to watch "Big Fish" WHY?

While trying to watch the movie "Big Fish" my computer crashs. It so bad that the computer will reboot by itself .

I am using PowerDVD to play the movie. I am not doing anything else while waiting the dvd .

I looked at the dvd it looks to be in fairly reasonable shape some scratches but nothing major and it is clean .
Any ideas what I might need to change?
