the difference is that if its a DVD9, you wont be able to burn it on a regular DVD disc. You will need a dual layer DVD disc if its a DVD9.

DVD 9's can hold almost 9 Gig's of info and DVD 5's can hold almost 5 gig's of info. DVD 9 can hold more data because they have two layers (Dual layer). The problem is a Play Station can't read the second layer on a burnt dual layer DVD. A PS2 game that is purchased is on a pressed DVD 9 or 5. I believe the Play Station reads the first layer and second layer form the inside out. On a burnt DVD 9 the first layer is read from the inside out and the second layer is read from the outside in. I may have that backwards but the point is that your Play Station can only read a pressed DVD 9 until someone makes a burnt one where the data is stored in the same format as a pressed one.

its dvd5, and i made a successful copy (no patch for online play desired) with dvd decryptor.

PS2 V7
DMS3 V2
DVD Decrypter
Ritek G04s
(DVD-5 games work flawlessly, no need for workaround)
(DVD-9 is another story, searching for step-by-step tutorial)

Does anyone know where I can find the ps2 patch so I can play a HD loader version of it?
